At First Lutheran we welcome people of all ages to the baptismal font for the Sacrament of Holy Baptism.
The nursery is located between the Gathering Space and the Chapel on the second floor. Staff are on site Sundays during the 10:15 AM service.
Journey of Faith meets Sundays, 10:15-11:15 in the education wing on the second floor.
Journey of Faith (Grades Pre K-6)
First Lutheran Church considers Christian education a vital part of its ministry and extends this opportunity for your child to join the Journey of Faith.
Preschool children (ages 3 & 4) learn various bible stories in a traditional classroom setting.
Kindergarten through Fourth Grade children learn bible stories by exploring the story through storytelling, art, science, cooking, and games. Children will experience five different bible stories throughout the year through different senses.
Fifth &Sixth Grade students use a pre-confirmation curriculum and attend church as a class on a regular basis.

JAM meets Mondays, 6-7:30pm in the Gym.
JAM (Grades K-4)
Kids are active, kids enjoy having fun, and kids love recognition for their accomplishments. That’s why kids love JAM. JAM provides an exciting evening of fun and learning for kids grades K-4.
Your kids can expect a welcoming atmosphere, trained teachers who care about kids and love God, and an opportunity to grow.
JAM kids love the monthly theme nights; Hawaiian night, Western Night, and God Rocks (kids worship).
Mission 56 meets Mondays, 6-7:30pm in the Youth Room.
Mission 56 (Grades 5-6)
Mission 56 is a place where fifth, and sixth students can act their age. They have their own way of learning and having fun. They’re too old to be with the children and too young to hang with the teenagers. Mission 56 is a place of their own.
Mission 56 provides a high energy environment, group discussion, and active learning to share the Good News.
A typical night includes time to hang in the gym and youth room, group games, a relevant message or illustration, scripture, prayer, and group discussion or activity.
The Children’s Choir meets on Sunday’s, 9:30-10:10 in the Art Room.
Shift meets Wednesday nights, 7:00-8:30pm in the FLC Gym.
S.L.A.M. meets Wednesdays nights, 7:00-8:30 pm in the Youth Room.
S.L.A.M. (Grades 9-12)
S.L.A.M. (Students Learning About the Master) meets Wednesdays, 7:00-8:30pm in the Youth Room.
Youth group includes games, a relevant message or illustration, scripture, prayer, and group discussion.
Mission trips, retreats, and service projects are scheduled regularly.
Confirmation (Grades 7-8)
Confirmation is a two-year ministry, for youth grades 7 and 8, designed to provide students an opportunity to explore faith, worship, service, and prayer through activity, biblical training, and conversation.
