First Lutheran Church actively supports four Janesville elementary schools through volunteers and program support. Monthly, volunteers head off at 6:30 a.m. to Jefferson, Roosevelt, Wilson and Adams to serve hundreds of students a healthy breakfast to jumpstart their learning. Adults need healthy nutrition too! That's why First Lutheran Church helps deliver meals on a monthly basis to shut-ins and others unable to get meals on their own. We can always use more helpers in this ministry. Call 752-7434, ext. 10 to get on the schedule.
The First Lutheran Church "Loan" closet is always busy finding loan equipment for those transitioning from illness or injury. We offer wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, commodes, transfer benches, toilet risers and more to those recovering at no charge. They simply take care of the item and bring it back when their done for someone else to use! Donations are appreciated! Located on the 3rd floor, church office. Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, (closed for lunch), Monday - Friday
The First Lutheran Church TV Ministry has allowed thousands of viewers to worship with us from their homes via Charter Cable channel 20 every week at 10:00 a.m. You can support this program by sponsoring a week for $50.00 - Our homebound members rely on this service and the unchurched gain exposure to the Lutheran community - call the office for more information @ 752-7434, ext. 10.
